PfRab7 appeared as a localized structure in P. falciparum trophozoite stage that multiplied in schizont. Parasite was synchronized at ring stage (0 h) and allowed to grow. Infected RBCs were fixed and prepared for confocal microscopy at different time points of growth (ring, trophozoite and schizont). PfRab7 (magenta) was detected using anti-PfRab7 antibody followed by anti-rabbit Alexa Fluor 488 and nucleus (blue) was stained by DAPI. Scale bar in each picture indicates 5 μm.
