Most-abundant proteins in RMVS
Shown are the top 20 parasite proteins ranked by peptide counts that were identified in RMVs derived from iRBCs, from both parasite strains analyzed. Among the most abundant proteins are parasite invasion ligands (EBA-175 and EBA-181) and RBC membrane-associated proteins (e.g., RhopH2/3, EXP-2, CLAG3.2, RESA, SBP1, and MAHRP). Measurements were made on ring stage parasites.
