KAHRP chimaeras localise to the endoplasmic reticulum in addition to the parasitophorous vacuole or erythrocyte cytosol. Images captured by immunofluorescence microscopy show substantial colocalisation of KAHRP chimaeras with the endoplasmic reticulum calcium-binding protein ERC (upper panel).
