PfHAD1 is expressed in blood-stage parasites and is localized to the parasite cytoplasm. Immunofluorescence confocal microscopy of ACPLGFP trophozoite and schizont stained with a-GFP and a-PfHAD1 antibodies and Hoechst 33258 nuclear stain. Scale bars, 2 mm. PfHAD1 appears to be cytoplasmic and has minimal overlap with the apicoplast marker ACPL-GFP.
