PfRH2b is associated with the moving junction during merozoite invasion. The process of merozoite invasion was closely monitored to locate the position of PfRH2b of burst schizont, free merozoites, random merozoite attachment, apposed merozoite and penetrating merozoite. The presence of PfRH2b (PfRH2b, red) at the moving junction was further confirmed with AMA1 (C, green) as common markers with punctuate staining. Merozoites of focus are shown with red circles.
