GFP-PfRab1A fluorescence in late schizonts is associated with rhoptry markers. Rhoptry markers Rap1 and Ron4 are found in trophozoites and schizonts as discrete foci that colocalize with GFP-PfRab1A fluorescence in late schizonts, but not in earlier phases of parasite development.
