Full-length PfCRT fused to the green fluorescent protein (GFP). Confocal laser scanning microscopy of parasites expressing PfCRTfull revealed a fluorescence signal surrounding the malaria pigment, consistent with a localization of the corresponding protein at the digestive vacuolar membrane.
