Transgenic parasites were fixed using acetone and detected with anti-GFP and anti-SBP1 antibodies. The panel shows REX-C6 colocalizations, GFP fluorescence of the chimeric protein in green and SBP1 fluorescence in red. The merge panel on the right shows complete colocalization of the two cleft proteins, confirming the presence of REX–GFP at the Maurer’s clefts.
