PfEIF3i is expressed in all intra-erythrocytic stages and localizes to the cytoplasm. Immuno-fluorescence assays of fixed RBCs infected with Plasmodium falciparum NF54 or PfEIF3i-HARibo parasites clones C7 and F12 at ring (R), trophozoite (T), and schizont (S) stages. EIF3i-HA was detected using anti-HA antibodies (green), and DNA was stained with DAPI (blue).
