PfLCN localizes to the FV in addition to its PV localization

in trophozoite stage parasites. Live-cell microscopy of LCN-Kd trophozoite stage parasites, which in addition to PfLCN- GFP (green) express the FV membrane marker P40PX-mCherry (red). In trophozoites the protein was additionally visible in small, mostly peripheral, focal structures, in accumulations in the parasite cytoplasm as well as in the FV. The localization to the FV in trophozoites was verified using the FV membrane marker P40PX-mCherry, which was co-expressed in LCN-Kd parasites.
