Panels a to e are late ring, early trophozoite, late trophozoite, early schizont and late schizont stages of the asexual development of P. falciparum 3D7 strain stained with immune IgG. PfDZ50 is expressed in all the asexual stages. It is concentrated mainly in the cytoplasmic region and shows a granular localization pattern.
