PF3D7_0415300 cdc2-related protein kinase 3

Images captured by laser scanning confocal microscopy show substantial co-localization of Pfcrk-3 (green) with nuclear-localized histones (red). P. falciparum 3D7 parasites were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde / 0.0075% glutaraldehyde and probed with chicken IgY anti-Pfcrk-3 and mouse IgG anti-histone antibodies. The data in each row represent the fluorescence profile in ring stage parasites, early trophozoites, late trophozoites, and schizonts, respectively. In some ring-stage parasites (e.g. the top row appears to localize at the periphery of the nucleus, DIC: Differential interference contrast. Scale bar = 2 mm, except for the top row, where it is 5 mm.
