Immunogold EM localization of Pghl/PfMDR1. Asynchronous cultures of the cloned line ITG2F6 were analyzed by postembedding immunolabeling as described in Materials and Methods. The antibody used was the affinity-purified anti-Pghl followed by protein A conjugated to 10-nm gold particles. A trophozoite is shown on the left and a free digestive vacuole on the fight.
