Immunofluorescence microscopy of red blood cells infected with wild-type, pfnt1Δ or pfnt1Δ+PfNT1 (PfNT1 gene was expressed episomally within the pfnt1Δ genetic background) schizont stage parasites. PfNT1 is visualized in green, Band-3 in red and nuclei in blue.
