Effect of compound 33 (1-Benzyl-2-(2-morpholinoethylthio)-6-oxo-N-(3-phenylpropyl)-1,6-dihydropyrimidine-5-carboxamide ) on apicoplast development in P. falciparum. Fluorescence microscopic images of D10-ACP-GFP parasite showing development of apicoplast at 36hpi (A) and 72hpi (B) in parasite cultures treated with 33 at IC50 concentration. The apicoplast development in treated parasite was severely inhibited in treated cultures.
