Co-localisation of PfPAT-1, -2, -3 and -7 (green) with microneme marker PfAMA-1 (red) in P. falciparum schizonts. Colocalisation studies with microneme protein PfAMA1 indicates these PfPATs are localized at the apical end of the merozoites. However, PfPATs do not overlap completely with PfAMA1.
